The Future of Mountain Style is a series of drawings documenting recreational architecture in southern Alberta, a province located in the west of Canada. Alberta is home to eastern range of the Rocky Mountains whose rugged, natural beauty fuels a thriving Alberta tourism industry, while an oil boom in recent has made the province the wealthiest in Canada. The structures depicted in this series were built during Alberta’s last oil boom in the 1980s, and as such are a reminder of the Alberta’s rustic ideals as well as changeable fortunes.
