For Parks n’ Rec, eight artists responded to their recent experience living inside Canada’s first national park by transforming the gallery into a fictional department of parks and recreation. IDEAL’s offbeat industrial spaces played host to works including photographic documentations of UFO sightings in Banff National Park, promotion of a new parks-oriented brand, architectural illustrations of luxurious conference spaces, a parks and recreation themed colouring book, light box photographs of altered territories, and a projection of a virtual landscape.
