My ideas were culled from everyday observations and conversations with fellow Torontonians wherein I asked other people if they also felt dissatisfied, and, if so, what they would like to improve. In August 2012, I attended a month-long residency at the ZK/U Centre for Art and Urbanism in Berlin where I created a project called A Moabit Inventory. Based on daily walks and bike rides around Moabit, the neighborhood where the residency is located, I collected a playful, personal inventory of 32 observations about Moabit's public spaces. These notes and drawings became the basis for a foldable poster multiple that presents a selection of observations accompanied by drawings or diagrams. Produced by Arts Etobicoke as part of the Art on the Move project, Toronto, Nov 2010 - May 2011. In the winter of 2010, I planned and facilitated the production of a large-composite drawing developed through a series of visual art workshops with clients from the Geriatric Mental Health Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, one of Canada's most progressive mental health research institutions. I met with a small group of clients in the program for 8 sessions where we created drawings and other forms of two dimesional artwork. I then brought together clients' artworks as well as my portraits of participants in the form of a digital collage.
