YMCA of Greater Toronto

Marketing collateral for youth learning

The YMCA of Greater Toronto came to me launching two national-level educational programs. The Youth Opioids Awareness Program offers free educational workshops about opioids. YMCA Ignite is a virtual learning platform that teaches employment and leadership skills. The team needed a high volume of marketing and learning collateral in a short amount of time. They loved the vibrant, iconic YMCA brand. Yet also wanted an extra dose of brightness and energy to connect with their youth audience.

  • My design strategy focused on colour and photography that conveyed optimism and vitality. I kept the bright YMCA red colour front and centre for a feeling of fresh energy. We also chose real-feeling photographs that reflect the diversity of Canadian youth. Many products were bilingual, so layouts that worked well in both French and English were key. As a whole, the designs bring a warm, lively approach to the topics of opioids and skills training for youth.
